In France, the American firm Tesla has been deploying its fast charging stations across the country for more than 7 years. TheElon Musk’s company has just installed the 800th Supercharger in Dardilly (Rhône), north of Lyon.

Des Superchargeurs V3

As a reminder, the Superchargeurs are stations for electric vehicles offering several charging stations. Since their inception, the stations have evolved slightly and are now in their third version (V3). They deliver very high levels of electrical power, which allows motorists to shorten their charging time as much as possible.

Thus, for the 16 stations available in the new Rhône station, the Superchargeurs V3 allow a recharge of 250 kW, which makes it possible to recover a little more 300 km of autonomy in less than 15 minutes. The oldest stations deliver between 72 kW and 150 kW.

In France, the American firm is accelerating the deployment of its network: Tesla is therefore at 90 stations which corresponds to 800 terminals in total !

20,000 terminals worldwide

With this new charging point in Dardilly, another has also been added to the list with the opening of the Aire du Granier (Savoie) station, located on the A43 motorway.

Worldwide, Tesla operates nearly 20,000 terminals Superchargers in 2021 installed in just over 2.000 stations.
