Things go fast at Ferrari : after the announcement of a 100% electric model by 2025, which may have made some people’s hair stand on end (and that’s understandable), the prancing horse brand is getting back to serious business …

A special edition of the 812 Superfast, initially released in 2017, is expected in the catalog! For now, the exact model name not yet known, as well as most of the technical details of the car. We will have to be patient and wait from here to 5th of May to learn more about this exceptional model in limited series.

An atmospheric V12 that we love

This model obviously takes the V12 of the initial model, which develops 800 horsepower and already propels at 324 km / h. For this special version, Ferrari indicates that the engine power has been increased to 830 horsepower and his block is reaching its limits at 9500 tr / min, a record for a heat engine produced by the Italian brand!

We can already imagine this engine, which is always devoid of supercharging or electronic assistance, screaming loudly in the towers … a treat for our ears that we must take advantage of, because this engine block could well be one of the last of its generation to see the light of day in an atmospheric version.

Ferrari incorporates in this new 812 a steering system with four independent steering wheels, which serves to further improve agility as well as precision in the turns.

A design that changes radically

If we compare this limited edition version to the initial 812 Superfast, we notice a large number of changes that the designers have always made in order to offer a more radical version and give a unique personality compared to the original car. .

We can in particular observe many air intakes which were not present on the base model, which gives on the front a grille with even more style! There are also new vents on the front and rear wheel arches, which allow the brakes to better dissipate heat during very sporty track sessions.

On the back side, the rear window is completely covered in the colors of the body and has air whirlpool generators. The Streamer is also redesigned, with square exhausts on the corners of the body.

Ferrari specifies that everything has been done to reduce the weight of the vehicle as much as possible: the intensive use of carbon fiber was considered both outside and inside the racing car.

No name but a date!

For the moment, no official name has been communicated by Ferrari.
