The new Mercedes S-Class passed into the hands of the German tuner Brabus, who offered it no less than 500 horsepower!
The German tuner Brabus, known for his creations based on Mercedes and Smart, has just unveiled one of the nastiest preparations for the new Mercedes S Class : the Brabus 500.
As standard, the seventh generation (Type 223) of the Mercedes S-Class 500 is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged in-line six, delivering 435 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque, associated with a 48-volt micro-hybrid system with around twenty horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. The set allows to bring down the 0 to 100 km / h in 4.9 seconds.
These figures were certainly not enough for Brabus, who added a B50–500 PowerXtra electronic kit, allowing to optimize the injection, the ignition and the mapping, to reach now 500 horsepower (+65 hp) and 590 Nm (+70 Nm) of torque. The 0 to 100 km / h is now swallowed in 4.7 seconds (-0.2 s), for a maximum speed of 250 km / h.
As usual with Brabus, the set is completed by aesthetic changes, among which we find forged rims « Brabus Monoblock M Platinum Edition » 21 inches, a front spoiler, new air intakes at the front, side skirts, illuminated door sills, a rear skirt, or even chrome exhaust cannulas, not to mention Brabus badges everywhere .
The chrome elements are now painted in “shadow gray”, while the interior offers a black and white perforated leather trim, accompanied by headrest cushions and carbon fiber inserts. The new Brabus 500, based on the Mercedes-Benz S 500 L 4Matic, is marketed at a price of 293.465 euros.
