SUV named World Car of the Year 2021

The ID.4 largely meets these criteria, since Volkswagen plans to market no less than 150,000 around the world this year, and to launch at least one new electric model each year as part of its “Accelerate” plan. .

5 Volkswagen models awarded with the World Car of the Year award

The Volkswagen ID.4 succeeds the Kia Telluride, a large SUV elected World Car of the Year in 2020, and which is not marketed in our regions. This is not the first time that the Wolfsburg manufacturer has won the World Car of the Year award: the Golf VI was crowned in 2009, the Polo V in 2010, the Up! in 2012, as well as the Golf VII in 2013.

Other prizes were awarded on the occasion of the elections World Car of the Year 2021: the Mercedes S-Class in the Luxury category, the Porsche 911 Turbo in the Sports category, the Honda-e in the City car category, not to mention the Land Rover Defender in the Design category.
