Launched in 1975, the Volkswagen Polo has become one of the bestsellers of the German brand, with around 18 million copies sold. Its sixth generation, already dating from 2017, has just benefited from a mid-career restyling, which is inspired by the style of the Golf.
Outside, we find a new light signature at the front: it is made up of new LED headlights, now standard and optional IQ.Light matrixes, which extend under the grille with a light strip, highlighting the brand’s new logo. The indicators are now scrolling, while at the rear, the lights have been revised and adopt a new form stretched horizontally with, here too, a family resemblance with the Golf. The new Volkswagen logo is accompanied here by the Polo badge, now placed in the center of the boot lid.
Inside, the digital screens dominate, and we find the 8-inch Digital Cockpit digital handset now standard (the 10.25-inch “Pro” version is optional), supplementing the central touchscreen with a diagonal of 6.5.8 , 0 or 9.2 inches depending on the version, and including compatibility Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Those allergic to all-touch will regret the arrival of a new air conditioning console, which sees the disappearance of physical buttons in favor of touch controls.
