Peugeot has started deliveries of the 508 PSE. The first examples of the plug-in hybrid sports sedan were handed over to Peugeot drivers of the World Endurance Championship (WEC)
Let’s go for the Peugeot 508 PSE (for Peugeot Sport Engineered)! Deliveries of the sporty plug-in hybrid have started in France, in sedan and SW station wagon versions. The first copies have recently been handed over to their new owners.
And among the first customers served are… the Peugeot drivers of the World Endurance Championship (WEC): in particular Paul Di Resta, Gustavo Menezes and James Rossiter.
The last two went to the Chopard group dealership in Nice (06), while Paul Di Resta was handed his keys to Satory at Peugeot Sport (78). Loïc Duval, Kevin Magnussen and Mikkel Jensen, the other Peugeot drivers in WEC, will soon receive their new 508 PSE in their respective countries of residence, namely Switzerland, Denmark and Austria.
“I really enjoy my 508 Peugeot Sport Engineered,” said Paul Di Resta. “It’s a perfect car for the family, but also perfect for someone like me who loves the thrill of the drive. », He added, in perfect VRP.

In addition to a specific exterior design (redesigned front bumper, “Kryptonite” green details, etc.), the 508 PSE is distinguished by a plug-in hybrid powertrain which combines a 200 hp 1.6L turbo four-cylinder petrol engine and two electric motors. One of 110 hp is placed at the front while the second, of 113 hp, takes place at the rear.
The whole develops a power of 360 hp (520 Nm of torque) which is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission (e-EAT8). The 508 PSE thus speeds 0 to 100 km / h in 5.2 seconds and displays a top speed electronically limited to 250 km / h, or 140 km / h in electric. All with an average consumption of 2.03L / 100 km, CO2 emissions of 46g / km and a zero emission range of 42 km.
In France, the 508 PSE is billed from € 67,100 in a sedan and € 68,400 in its SW station wagon version.
