Hyundai presents the new sporty version of its Kona: the Kona N, powered by a 2.0L T-GDI 280 hp engine!

Boost for the Kona! Hyundai presents the new vitamin version its urban SUV (4.21 m long): the Kona N, first SUV to join the N family, which already has the small i20 and the compact i30 in its ranks. And let’s say it right away, this is a real sporting version of the Kona since the model sees its power go up to 280 hp, or even 290 hp with the “N Grin Shift” mode.

The 2.0L T-GDI engine of the i30 N

This cavalry is from the 2.0L T-GDI four-cylinder engine which already officiates under the hood of the freshly restyled i30 N (275 hp). It is associated with a 8-speed dual-clutch transmission (N DCT8).

Thus armed, and also equipped with an electronic limited-slip differential, the Kona N announces a 0 to 100 km / h in just 5.5 seconds with Launch Control and a top speed of 240 km / h.

On the design side, the model is recognizable at first glance thanks to the red border which runs through its shields and rocker panels. It is also distinguished by its imposing rear diffuser

, to dual exhaust outlet and its large spoiler which houses a triangular brake light. To complete it all, the Kona N is also dressed in specific 19-inch alloy wheels.

On board same topo. The model is exclusive with new touches of blue in particular on the steering wheel and gear lever. We also find a 10-inch central touch screen and a digital handset with specific display. Not to mention a “special race” head-up display.

Finally, the Kona N is full of driving aids and safety equipment with, among other things, lane keeping assistance, driver attention warning, blind spot detection and even more. adaptive cruise control.

Available in France?

No launch date has yet been announced for this Kona N. And if we already know that it will be available in Europe, it is not yet known whether it will be offered on the French market
