From next summer, things will change slightly for future buyers of electric vehicles …
It’s the Economy Minister in person, Bruno Le Maire, who confirmed it. The helping hand for the purchase of a electric vehicle will drop slightly from the month of next july.
The government has formalized the reduction in the ecological bonus. Currently at 7.000 euros, the latter will drop to 6.000 euros from July 1, 2021.
Initially, this change of scale was to take place at the beginning of the year but it was extended to counter the crisis, which is currently affecting the entire automotive sector. In the current difficult context, despite requests from French manufacturers, this bonus will not be renewed.
The maximum scale of € 6,000 will only be valid for the purchase of a vehicle at a price lower than 45,000 €. For a vehicle between 45,000 and 60,000 €, the scale also drops and goes from 3,000 to 2,000 €. Finally, this reduction in aid is also planned for professionals: the aid offered to them will be reduced to 4,000 euros for vehicles under 45,000 euros.
