In the image, we discover a completely transformed Fabia. The car will be modernized thanks in particular to the arrival of Digital Cockpit (a first), with digital handset and central floating touch screen. The city car will also progress in perceived quality via new materials, and will gain in elegance with a revised dashboard, a new steering wheel and redesigned aerators. Touches of chrome will also appear.
Depending on the finish, decorative inserts in different colors should enhance the whole, while 13 new Simply Clever features are also announced by Skoda.
For the rest, the Fabia 4 will be based on Volkswagen Group’s MQB-A0 platform, which will allow him to take 11 cm in length at 4.10 m, for 1.78 m in width (+5 cm), 1.46 m in height and 2.56 m in wheelbase (+9 cm). Growth that will benefit livability and boot space, announced up to 50 liters.
Finally, on the mechanical side, Skoda will offer only new generation petrol engines which will be coupled with manual or automatic 7-speed gearboxes (DSG7). In all, five units will be available: two MPI engines and three TSI direct injection engines for powers ranging from 65 hp to 150 hp.
The world premiere of the new Skoda Fabia is scheduled for the beginning of May.
