A “suspended” swimming pool flows into a garage!

Installing a large garage under a swimming pool to maximize space is a great idea! It is also necessary that all the water remains in the basin …

The incident occurs in Brazil on the night of April 22. Tens of thousands of liters from a swimming pool flow into a garage! The pictures speak for themselves and are impressive. The force with which the water rushes into the parking lot moves the cars parked there.

What happened ?

The building is one of a kind. During its construction by the sea, it was necessary to maximize the space used. The architect therefore decided to install the garage as low as possible, under the swimming pool, so that it is larger in size. However, the bottom of the pool could not retain all the weight of the water it contained. All of the lower part suddenly gave way! An old building? Not at all ! It was only built in 2018.

More fear than harm.

Fortunately, no one had decided to do a few laps at night. The damage is only material and the parking lot did not appear to be filled to its maximum capacity. The occupants of the 90 apartments in the building had to be relocated for a few days in order to check its general condition. Swimming pool and garage obviously do not mix well …
