We had already seen Bugatti Chiron in Lego, but not yet in clay… Yet this is the feat we managed to achieve these enthusiasts on their YouTube channel!
On the net, many enthusiasts show their exploits by termes de tuning, preparations or even creations of all kinds.
But this type of project is not common: YouTubers of the channel NHET TV in Vietnam have achieved a great feat, achieving a model of Bugatti Chiron entirely in clay.
To create their clay Chiron, the individuals first built a steel frame having the basic shape of the car to create a structure.
They then started to layering the clay, layers after layers, the all by hand ! To achieve straight shapes and specific surfaces, the Youtubers used small utensils to scrape the clay. In total, it took them almost two weeks of daily work to finish the car, to achieve an impressive result!
As we know, for decades car manufacturers have also been manufacturing clay models to perfect the design of their new vehicles.
When a team designs a new car, the designer usually begins the project by making sketches. Once the design of the car is finalized, the teams enter the phase of production of models : it is at this stage that the clay can be used. By doing this, designers can constantly reshape their model and “scrape” material, to arrive at the desired final shape.
The phase of real prototypes comes next, with solid materials. The following video proves that with a little will, from patience and D’skill, everyone can try to reproduce a model! You still have to have clay …
This is the case of these Vietnamese YouTubers, who explain that with their status as farmers they unfortunately do not have the means to afford a real Chiron …
The end result is impressive …
