You can’t be Obi-Wan Kenobi and drive around in a normal car. The only solution: transform one into a spaceship taken straight from Star Wars, R2D2 included!
Shawn Crosby is a geek with a big heart. For years, he has disguised himself as Obi-Wan Kenobi, famous jedi, and has visited hospitals and charities. Something to give a nice surprise to children and fans of the Star Wars saga! A passion so total for the work of Georges Lucas that he now calls himself Obi-Shawn.
But the famous Jedi Master, companion of Anakin Skywalker, can not move in vulgar Renault Clio. Hence the idea of changing a car into a spaceship! Shawn Crosby initially rode a long time in a Honda Del Sol (convertible variant of the Civic from the 1990s), with a revised body and a replica of the droid R2D2 in back. Then, when it was time to change car, he embarked on a major project: transforming a Nissan 350Z entirely, thanks to recycled parts!
The rims are thus covered by pizza dishes for a futuristic look. Lasers are actually baseball bats. Reactors are flowerpots! And the work continues inside, with a modified steering wheel (which is reminiscent of that of the last restyled Tesla Model S), we also discover joysticks, hijacked measuring instruments, a holographic projector … The craziest ? Shawn uses this Nissan 350Z for his everyday life ! Something to attract attention in the supermarket parking lot … May the Force be with him!
