Freshly graduated, he is embarking on a grand tour de France of medical replacements in motorhomes!
Barely diploma, Martial Jordel, general practitioner, has launched a little crazy challenge : travel around France in a motorhome, to replace overworked colleagues! From March 22 to July 22, he will travel the roads of the country to take over from doctors who sometimes do not dare to go on leave, for fear of abandoning their patients.
Jura, Cher, Nord, Landes, Vaucluse, Corsica… Thousands of kilometers behind the wheel of a 7.40 m long motorhome, the Fleurette Discover 72LSB. Large enough to house a motorcycle in the rear hold: practical for home consultations!
The objective is to discover France, but also to assist doctors in rural places where it is sometimes necessary to travel several tens of kilometers to have access to care. These overwhelmed doctors, especially in times of Covid, have often not been able to take breaks for too long, aware of the problem posed by these medical deserts.
But the next generation arrives, and she arrives in a motorhome! If you want to follow the adventures of Martial Jordel and his tour de France replacements, you can follow him on Instagram here. He also tells his adventures and the project in more detail on the dedicated site here. Have a nice trip !
