What if Skoda offered the new Fabia with the plug-in hybrid powertrain of the Octavia RS?
Skoda has unveiled the fourth generation of its city car, the Fabia. By the way, the Czech recovers the MQB-A0 platform from the Volkswagen group, which can be found for example on the latest Audi A1, Volkswagen Polo, or the big sister Skoda Scala. What to consider a more muscular version? This is what X-Tomi imagines, designer who has accustomed us to “renders” often very close to production.
For the occasion, the small Skoda Fabia RS uses the stylistic codes of the large Octavia RS, for example. The grille is blackened, specific larger rims appear, and the bottom of the shield becomes more aggressive. Subtle, but sufficient to set this sporty version apart from the rest of the range. We can also easily imagine that the Fabia recovers the engine of the Octavia RS: a plug-in hybrid set of 245 hp, more than enough for the city car.
Of course, Skoda hasn’t announced anything yet. The Fabia will be launched with 5 different petrol engines, ranging from 65 to 150 hp, and should land in the fall. If an RS version is added to the range, we will therefore have to wait a little longer to find out more.
