In this video, a British journalist gets the chance to try out and confront a legendary 2005 Honda NSX and a current Civic Type R. Duel at the height of performance!
British pilot and journalist Jason Plato is a lucky man. As part of the TV show « Fifth Gear », the latter had the opportunity to take the wheel of two legendary Honda: the NSX and the Civic Type R.
Developed by the late Ayrton Senna, the first brought the brand into the history of very efficient. Very modern in design with its aluminum chassis and V6 engine equipped with VTEC technology, the NSX was the best in the 90s and early 2000s. More radical, the current Civic Type R is a descendant of GTI from the 1980s. Its 2.0-liter turbocharged 320 hp engine makes it a thinly disguised brute.
Plato first took a lap stopwatch
with the NSX. Very pleasant, this car still proved to be efficient despite its 16 years. Then, the Englishman took the wheel of the Civic, a much more radical car of which he criticizes the firmness of the suspensions. From the first segment, the Civic takes the advantage. Over the intermediate lap times, the sedan only confirms its supremacy thanks to its much more recent technology. Even if it lost this duel, the NSX still showed that it still has beautiful remains!Check Out The Video: Who’s Faster, An Old NSX Or A New Type R?
