The Ford Bronco has been announced by the American manufacturer for almost a year as being able to face all terrains without the need for any modification. Obviously, the engineers at Ford are right!
The Bronco is an institution in the United States, just like the Mustang. The previous generation of the 4 × 4 died out in 1996. Since then, enthusiasts of the beast have continued to speculate on a possible return. And last year, Ford lifted the veil on the 6e Bronco generation which looks almost exactly like the first!
A good big 4 × 4 capable of climbing trees to compete with a certain Jeep Wrangler. But it’s nice to promise an all-terrain vehicle that can easily venture into the countryside, we still have to keep these promises. So, almost a year after its presentation, Ford has flaunted the qualities of its 4X4 by lining up a copy at the start … of a rally-raid!
Better, this Preproduction Bronco without any modifications just finished at 3e place du NORRA Mexican 1000, a race of over 1,800 km over the most rugged terrain in Mexico. A great feat that should further boost sales of this icon whose production should finally begin this summer. Unfortunately for us, the Bronco will only be marketed in the United States.
That’s not all ! Big Ford Bronco has a little brother, the Bronco Sport, which is more like a European SUV. The latter is aptly named and is also capable of great off-road prowess. The proof with this video. Come on, Ford, maybe this one could cross the Atlantic?
