A prototype of the electric pickup was moving through New York to join a dealership of the American brand. Needless to say, heads turned as he passed.
Tesla boss Elon Musk is the king of marketing. Rather accustomed to advertising on Twitter, the businessman took advantage of his visit to a New York TV show to let a prototype of one of his cars roam the street! It is neither more nor less than the Cybertruck, the brand’s electric pick-up.
As a reminder, the Cybertruck was unveiled in 2019 during a presentation that had marked the spirits … and the windows of the vehicle. To production should start at the end of this year or even at the beginning of 2022 after hundreds of thousands of pre-orders! Its blunt argument lies in its range announced at more than 800 km by Tesla.
But what was he doing there? The vehicle arrived by driving to a New York dealership for the brand to be exhibited. He left a few days later, as he came, alone, not failing to make a detour through Times Square where many people turned around in his path! Nice publicity stunt from Tesla.
