here are the secret concepts of the Mustang

Since its introduction in 1965, the Ford Mustang has known 8 generations! In order to experience such longevity, the American had to reinvent herself, thus inducing some surprisingly surprising concepts.

The Mustang, we no longer present it! If it is so well known today, it is thanks to its history which began in the 60s and its 8 generations. And then, there is also this “unique face” and the image it reflects ! But Ford has also tried to change the latter, the proof with all the concepts that its 50 years of career have seen scroll. Here are the most surprising of them.

Concept I de 1962

As with most American sports cars, Ford imagined a Mustang with an engine placed in the rear center position. This design, very far from the production model which saw the light of day a few years later, was not retained.

Concept Mach II of 1967

Only a few years after its launch, Ford was once again considering the idea of a car with an engine in the rear. Closer to a production-ready model, we are however far from the lines of the Mustang that everyone knows.

Concept Mach III de 1993

Before introducing the 4e generation of Mustangs, Ford presented this concept called Mach III. The least we can say is that this car is all round! Looks like a 1994 specimen that was stung by a honeycomb.

Concept Cammer GT-R de 2004

We’ve saved the best for last! With this light version and intended to panic the lap times! Bow, diffuser and huge fin, everything is there ! It goes without saying that its V8 would have sounded good through its side tailpipes as well.. Too bad this one did not find the way to production …
