With these photos of a prototype still slightly camouflaged, Porsche announces the arrival of a new more powerful version of the Cayenne Turbo Coupé.
The Stuttgart manufacturer is preparing a new version of the Porsche Cayenne Coupe, and it is the rally driver Walter Röhrl who is responsible for pushing it to its limits on the Hockenheim circuit, in order to test and optimize its dynamic performance.
Even if Porsche does not reveal much information on its future model, the German firm specifies that this version offers exceptional road performance, without neglecting the driving comfort and versatility of the car on a daily basis.
“The car remains incredibly stable even in fast corners, and its cornering behavior is extremely precise. More than ever, you feel like you are sitting in a compact sports car, rather than a large SUV. “, says Walter Röhrl, two-time world rally champion and Porsche ambassador.
To improve the dynamic behavior of the car, the PDCC system (Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control) adopts a new configuration optimized for performance, while the train before has been revised, accompanied by 22 inch wider rims. The titanium exhaust line is also unique, and has two central exits.
According to the latest rumors, this model would have a V8 biturbo 4.0-liter capacity, the power of which has been increased to 640 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque, a gain of 90 horsepower and 80 Nm compared to the current Turbo version. The 0 to 100 km / h should be swallowed in less than 3.8 seconds.
