The chevron firm is preparing a Citroën C3 for emerging countries, which will serve as the basis for the future European C3. Here are some first photos of his miniature model.
Citroën wants to appeal to emerging markets, with a new range of products specially developed for this purpose. The first model of this new family will bear the name of Citroën C3, and its first images have just leaked on the internet, via a miniature model in scale 1/43th.
This Citroën C3, quite close to the lines of a C3 Aircross, is in phase with the latest productions of the chevron brand, with in particular its two-tone color and its dual-stage light signature. It will first be marketed in India at a price of around 9,000 euros, where it will compete with models like the Dacia Sandero, before being then offered in Latin America.
However, there is little chance of seeing it land in Europe in this way. Resting on the CMP platform city cars of the Stellantis group, this model will, on the other hand, serve as a basis for the development of the next generation of European Citroën C3, which is expected to launch in 2023.
Unlike its counterpart in emerging countries, the future Citroën C3 that we will find in our regions will have the latest technologies in terms of active and passive safety as well as pollution control, in order to meet all the standards in place in Europe, much more more stringent than in the rest of the world.
