With its concept look, the Ioniq 5 seems straight out of a Japanese manga. However, it is indeed a production model. Presented during the month of February and available to order for a few weeks, the first model of Hyundai’s new “Ioniq” electric range will even happen on our roads during the month of June.

A rich and varied range

As a reminder, the Ioniq 5 is based on the new modular E-GMP platform from the Hyundai group. It measures 4,64 m de long and is offered with different engine offers (170, 218 or 306 hp) and several battery capacities (58 or 72.6 kWh). Depending on the configurations, autonomy is announced between 384 and 481 km.

Three finishes are on the menu : “Intuitive”, “Creative” and “Executive”. With the entry level “Intuitive”, the model is already richly endowed

since it has 19-inch alloy wheels as standard, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, a 12.3-inch digital handset, a 12.3-inch color touch screen also with GPS navigation, a reversing camera, a charging cable for a household socket and a Type 2 cable for a charging station.

In terms of driving aids, there is also an intelligent adaptive cruise control, recognition of speed limit signs, rear parking assistance, active driving assistance on the motorway, maintenance and tracking assistance. track or the detection of driver fatigue.
