The most powerful version of the Ford Ranger will soon be offered a limited series Raptor Special Edition, with a new style.
Developed by Ford Performance, the Ranger Raptor is the ultimate version of Ford’s pickup: it features a sturdy chassis, specific suspensions and tires, as well as a 2.0 twin-turbo Diesel four-cylinder engine. EcoBlue liters of 213 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, associated with a ten-speed automatic gearbox borrowed from the Ford Mustang.
But the teams of the blue oval wanted to make this model even more spectacular, by launching a limited series called Ford Ranger Raptor Special Edition.
This Raptor Special Edition is available in Performance Blue, Conquer Gray or Frost White, contrasting with matte black bands highlighted with a red border, which can be found on the hood, roof, sills, rear fenders and tailgate. Other specific elements make their appearance: the front tow hooks are adorned in red, while the wheel arches, shields, door handles and grille now change to matte black, for a more raw and aggressive look.
This special series is featured in an official video accompanying the model’s presentation, which is inspired by spaghetti westerns:
Inside, we find a standard leather trim, completed by red stitching contrasting colors that adorn the steering wheel, dashboard, door trim, central armrest and gearbox lever gaiter.
The new Ford Ranger Raptor Special Edition will go on sale this fall 2021, but Ford has yet to reveal the prices and the number of copies of its new special limited series.
