Derived from the Volkswagen ID.3, the all-new Cupra Born does everything to differentiate itself from the German. We take a tour of the owner on video!
While it has only just been unveiled, Auto Plus has already been able to take place aboard the all-new Cupra Born, all first 100% electric model from the sporty brand of Seat. Discover the video of our journalist Agnès Lasbarrères to know everything about this sports-oriented electric:
We start first on the outside, where the connection with the Volkswagen ID.3 is obvious. Proportions, very advanced windshield, everything is there. But in detail, the dimensions change very slightly, with a few centimeters more in length, and less in height, to a more dynamic look. We find the typical optics of the young Spanish brand, and a very aggressive shield, for better differentiate the Born from an ID.3 which leans more towards minimalism.
And it’s the same story inside. Where the Volkswagen offers a futuristic atmosphere with large flat areas of plastic, Cupra opts for warmer materials as around the center console, covered witha neoprene-like texture. Large sports bucket seats are standard. For the rest, the general architecture remains the same as in the German cousin, with tactile everywhere, a small instrument cluster and a large central panel of 12 inches.
If you are already seduced by the Cupra Born, a little more patience: it should land in France at the end of the year 2021, with a starting price. around 35,000 €.
