When it was presented in 2019, no one imagined that the eighth generation Chevrolet Corvette could be marketed in Europe, the American brand having disappeared from our countries because of increasingly stringent emission standards. And yet, Chevrolet has delighted fans of the brand, confirming that this new Corvette will be marketed in Europe in October 2021, and that it will be offered there in coupe and convertible versions.

Although Chevrolet is not expected to offer a complete new model lineup, the new Corvette Stingray will rely on Cadillac’s European network for its marketing on the Old Continent.

Chevrolet Corvette (2021): a price from 100,820 euros

The American manufacturer has just unveiled its prices for France: it will be marketed there from 100,820 euros in coupe version and from 107,880 euros for the convertible version. A rather elitist price to which you will have to add the maximum ecological penalty, the amount of 30.000 euros.

The range will consist of two trim levels: 2LT and 3LT, completed by a special launch edition series, which comes in 16 distinct predefined configurations (8 for the coupe and 8 for the convertible), combining body color with interior ambience.

In Europe, the new Corvette Stingray will have the Pack Performance Z51, featuring adjustable threaded spring suspensions, Brembo brakes, high-performance exhaust system, electronic limited-slip differential, shorter rear axle ratio, sportier body kit, as well as Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires specifically developed for the model (245/35 ZR19 at the front and 305/30 ZR20 at the rear).

For the first time, the new Corvette C8 will feature a Atmospheric V8 in the rear central position: with 6.2 liters of displacement, it develops no less than 475 horsepower and 613 Nm of torque, and is associated with an 8-speed double-clutch gearbox. The 0 to 100 km / h swallowed in 3.5 seconds, for a maximum speed of 296 km / h.
