A compromise between sportiness and sobriety

The classic Bentley Bentayga is too common for you, but the Speed ​​version intimidates you? Bentley has the solution: the Bentayga S, which lands in alternative sportive, but not too much.

The Bentley Bentayga S is a brand new version, and is similar to what Porsche could call GTS, or S at Audi: a sportier version, but without overflowing with performance. Moreover, the engine of the Bentayga V8 is preserved, with a power identical to 550 ch. Performance does not change either: 4.5 seconds to speed 0 to 100 km / h, and a top speed set at 290 km / h. Already quite sufficient, but set back from Bentayga Speed, with its W12 of 635 hp.

Firmer suspensions and more aggressive look

But if the engine doesn’t change, what makes the Bentayga S different from the “base” V8 model? Bentley promises better agility, thanks to specific suspension settings. The Sport mode has been redesigned, and acts on the management of the anti-roll system at 48V, while the suspensions have been firmed by 15%.

Visually, the Bentley Bentayga S approaches the Speed, with black keys on all chrome surfaces : grille, bumper, door frames, etc. New 22-inch rims are available, while a new sports exhaust should allow the V8 to express itself a little more freely.

Bentley does in the sporty interior too, with vast expanses of Alcantara, a new decorative insert on the dashboard, and badges S scattered all over the place.

The Bentayga S therefore becomes the fourth version in the luxury SUV range, under the Bentayga Speed ​​but above the V8 and plug-in hybrid versions. A compromise for those looking for a little dynamism.
