Dacia is recalling nearly 25,000 copies of its Sandero and Logan, for a problem related to the locking of the hood: it could open while driving!
Last fall, Dacia unveiled the third generation of its two flagship models: the Sandero and Logan, with an assertive design and a completely modernized proposal. The success was quickly there, which allowed the new Dacia Sandero to climb into the Top 5 sales in France in the first quarter of 2021.
A start to his career which is not without being marred by some difficulties: in fact, Dacia has just started a recall campaign which concerns its two new compacts, responding to the code name: 0DLP. Not less than 24,950 models of Dacia Logan and Sandero are concerned by a problem of cracks that could damage the bonnet lock support.
“If the locking tab cracks, in extreme cases, the hood may open while driving” explains Martin Zimmermann, Renault’s communications manager in Germany.
The customers concerned have been invited to come and have their car checked at their Dacia dealership. If the fault is found, a repair will be carried out, with an downtime of just over four hours. Affected models have been produced between September 2, 2020 and January 15, 2021.
