During the tests of the new restyled C3 Aircross, Citroën lifts the veil on a new logo, which follows on from the previous one.
After Peugeot and Opel, another brand of the Stellantis group is changing its logo: Citroën took advantage of the press tests of the new restyled C3 Aircross to unveil its new brand identity, discreetly… Indeed, the new logo of the chevron firm has not yet been released on Citroën’s official documents or websites: a deployment which should take place in the coming weeks.
Like Renault, Mini or Volkswagen, Citroën adopts again the flat design for its new logo: the chevrons are still present on this new emblem, but these have more rounded angles and abandon all relief, to display only one solid color. The chevrons are now used alone, and the stylized signature “Citroën” disappears.
Since its launch in 1919, the Citroën brand has always been faithful to the rafters, which have however undergone some changes over time. A contemporary version of the logo was launched in 2009, with new chrome, rounded and embossed chevrons, then the flat design appeared on this one during its evolution in 2016.
On the occasion of its centenary anniversary in 2019, Citroën updated its 1919 logo with the launch of a special “Origins since 1919” series within its range. This “retro” logo is also used by l’Aventure Citroën, the association in charge of preserving the brand’s heritage, also at the head of the Citroën Conservatory.
