The unique Bugatti La Car Noire model has finally been built! And like all cars, its consumption has been evaluated according to WLTP standards. How much do you think a 1500 hp quad-turbo W16 consumes?
It has been almost 2 years since this unique example based on the already exclusive Bugatti Chiron was presented at the Geneva Motor Show! Directly inspired by the Bugatti Type 57 Atlantic from the 1930s, it cost its owner, still unknown to this day, the “modest” sum of 11 million euros! Without taxes ! Suffice to say that it took time to assemble it …
But there it is! It officially left the Molsheim factory a few days ago. The brand proudly announced it on social networks. It took 65,000 hours for engineers to produce this jewel. Like all Bugattis that leave the French workshop, it has been put to the test on the circuit to ensure that it functions correctly. It is true that after all this work and a cost of almost 17 million euros with taxes, it would be a shame if it broke down after a few turns of the wheels …
One thing is certain, this machine equipped with a quadurbo W16 of 8 liters and 1500 hp is not like the others. Except in the eyes of the authorities who ask Bugatti for official WLTP figures for each of its cars, as for any vehicle. Unsurprisingly, they are beyond comprehension! Its combined consumption is estimated at 22.32 l / 100 km, and once you open the throttle, it climbs to 43.33 l!
