A Rolls-Royce illegally covered in crocodile skin was seized at Italian customs. The owner of the Phantom imported for sale faces severe penalties.
Italy is one of the 183 member countries of the Washington Convention on International Trade endangered species of wild flora and fauna.
And it is precisely for this reason that the Russian owner of this Rolls-Royce will receive a heavy fine… The reason? The Phantom is covered on the inside with crocodile skin. Which is completely illegal.
The crocodile leather, installed on the seats and the central console of the Rolls, followed a customization requested by a customer from a specialized company. Of course, this kind of option and material does not come from the original Phantom, sold by the british builder.
On the pictures of the Customs and Monopolies Agency, or theItalian Customs Agency, we can see the object of the offense. The interior of the Rolls-Royce has white leather seats as well as parts covered in green crocodile leather. Besides the bad taste side of personalization, it is mostly something completely illegal!
According to ADM information, the Rolls-Royce in question was imported from Russia to Italy. She was on her way to the city of Rome to be sold. However, the latter was deemed a little too exotic by customs officials and was confiscated on the spot.
The Phantom was seized as a precaution and a complaint was filed by the Italian justice against the importer of the luxury car.
