To lovers of the 24 Hours of Le Mans: get ready! The Automobile Club de l’Ouest (ACO), which organizes the great endurance race, has just announced that the 2021 edition (August 21 and 22) will be open to the public. Tickets will go on sale online on June 21 at 10 a.m. on his site. ACO members will have priority access to this ticket office from June 17th 10 hours.
If the great festival of motorsport will finally be able to welcome the public, the organization of Le Mans will of course be adapted to the health context, according to the established formula. In practice, the usual concerts and fairgrounds are canceled, even if the ACO announces that it is working on some animations. On the other hand, access to Test day (August 15) and administrative checks (August 14) will not be authorized for the public, unlike previous editions (outside 2020).
Regulars, however, will be welcome around the circuit. from the first free practice, Wednesday August 18. Although the ACO has not yet specified the prices or the format of the entries, note that they were running in previous years. around 80 euros for a full week pass. Entry to the circuit will be on presentation of the health pass (with a recent negative PCR or antigen test, or a vaccination certificate).
For this 89th edition, the 24 Hours will welcome around 50,000 spectators, or 20% of the usual crowd. So pay attention to do not miss your chance to see in real life the first 24 Hours of the Hypercar era, with a battle announced between Toyota, Alpine, and the American Glickenhaus.
