The Subaru of Travis Pastrana’s last Gymkhana faces a 1,080 hp Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk in a race whose results may surprise you!
Hoonigan is a YouTube channel that produces a lot of crazy videos, including the famous Gymkhana. Usually, it’s Ken Block who sticks to it and spins his car in all directions at very high speed. But in the last edition, it was Travis Pastrana who took the wheel. The incredible rally and motocross champion had a blast aboard a Subaru WRX STI prepared for the occasion.
This Subaru has nothing to do with the original model anymore. The whole chassis has been laid bare and a huge roll bar has been grafted to improve rigidity and above all safety. Almost the entire body is now carbon fiber and has a certain amount of aerodynamic appendages. Under the hood, the 4-cylinder boxer saw its power pushed to 862 hp!
Faced with this impressive racing machine, another monster: a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. As standard, the American supercharged V8 develops 707 hp! Enough to make it the fastest SUV in the world with a 0 to 100 timed in just 3.5 s! Probably not enough for this owner who pushed his vehicle up to 1080 hp! But who will win? Subaru or Jeep?
Check out the video of this duel between Travis Pastrana’s Subaru and this Jeep Cherokee below:
