This Toyota Supra from the first Fast & Furious opus and driven by Paul Walker has just been sold at auction… For more than half a million dollars!
For action movies like Fast & Furious, a multitude of cars are used. Some for stunts, others for close-ups, etc. In the end, the cars are rarely driven by the actors themselves. In the first installment of the series, Paul Walker only got behind the wheel of two of the nine Supra prepared for filming. One of them recently sold at auction.
6 years ago, one of the 9 cars used in the film sold for the already substantial sum of $ 185,000. This Supra had not been used by the actor and was a stunt copy. Only its exterior had to resemble the hero’s car. Under the hood was therefore an atmospheric engine!
The vehicle that just went under the hammer is the closest thing to Brian O’Conner’s car in Fast & Furious, except for one thing. Indeed, it is equipped with an automatic gearbox! Everything else, engine, interior and bodywork received exactly the same treatment as the vehicle dubbed “hero 1”. No wonder then that the auction has climbed to half a million dollars!
