79% of French people have doubts about 90 km / h

At the time of departure on vacation, nearly 80% of French people are confused about the 90 km / h limitations.

Despite the traffic jams, the departures on vacation are going faster and faster! And for good reason. Since 2018, the departments are authorized to raise their speed limits to 90 km / h instead of 80 km / h, under certain conditions. According to our research, they were 17 to have done so by this date in 2020. According to navigation specialist Coyote, they are now 33, for about 25,000 km of roads in total which are ironed at 90 km / h.

But suddenly, this local alternation between 80 and 90 km / h is confusing. You have surely already experienced it: after a few kilometers on a road, you no longer know how fast you should go … According to a survey by Coyote, 79% of French people say they have doubts

driving at the level of this limitation, of which 39% regularly. Much confusion at the wheel, therefore.

It must be said that if you go far, and you cross several departments, difficult to follow the different changes. So stay alert and keep an eye on the signs. Especially since all GPS are not always up to date. And beware: the excuse of not knowing how fast you can go is of course not admissible …
