A few days ago, Porsche won the title of Fastest production SUV on the Nordschleife (north loop) of the Nürburgring with a new version of the Cayenne Coupé who was still in camouflage uniform (7’38 ″ 925 over the 20,832 km of the route). Today, the veil is lifted on this variation of the German SUV: here is the Cayenne Turbo GT Coupe !

The sportiest of Cayenne

it’s about the the sportiest variant of the Cayenne, more not the most powerful. She pulls indeed 640 hp and 850 Nm couple of a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 optimized and combined with a shortened 8-speed automatic transmission (Tiptronic S). That’s 90 hp and 80 Nm more than the Cayenne Turbo but 40 hp less (80 Nm more) than the Cayenne Turbo S E-Hybrid.

However, the latter being heavier, the performance of the Turbo GT is unmatched in the Cayenne range: 3.3 seconds in 0 to 100 km / h against 3.8 s for the hybrid and a top speed of 300 km / h, i.e. 5 km / h more than the electrified version (3.9 s and 286 km / h for the Cayenne Turbo Coupé).

To avoid spoiling anything, the Turbo GT also benefits from a 17mm lower body compared to Turbo and air suspension more rigid by 15%.

Radical look for the Cayenne Turbo GT Coupé

On the look side, the newcomer is easily recognized by his new arctic gray paint (optional), two large central tailpipes, new spoiler and black wheel arches. It also benefits from a carbon roof and specific 22-inch Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires.

On board, the Turbo GT version receives many elements in Alcantara. The seats, door trims and even the steering wheel, with its yellow mark at 12 o’clock, are covered with it. The Turbo GT logo appears on the headrests of all four seats. Still inside, Porsche announces the arrival of a new multimedia system called PCM 6.0 and compatible with Android Auto.
