On the occasion of the Austrian Grand Prix, Red Bull has decided to organize a short race between all its drivers! But not necessarily in their chosen field… The proof in pictures.
Welcome to Austria for the 8e grand prize of this exciting Formula 1 season! A race that smiled on Red Bull driver Max Verstappen who won first place. Except that, for this video, it’s a whole different kind of event that interests us.
As often when the energy drink brand plays at home, the latter has concocted a little race between its drivers and those of its sister team, Alpha Tauri. But its layout is very different from the one these champions are used to.
So we find Max Verstappen, Sergio Pérez, Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda for an epic off-road race! It all starts with a short plane ride to get to the start line. A trip Tsunoda will probably remember for a little while … After a ride on the water, it’s time to get serious!
Our pilots then find their mount: Pinzgauer 718! Despite their poor performance, to say the least, like a 0 to 100 km / h timed in 20 seconds thanks to their 113 hp, these imposing 6-wheel turbo diesel trucks are able to go almost anywhere.
Our pilots are quick to show us the impressive capabilities of these machines. However, they don’t seem quite comfortable outside of circuits, they will no doubt be very happy to find the Red Bull Ring once again this Sunday, July 4th.
