Long journeys necessarily rhyme with full fuel. The application Essence&CO allows you, thanks to your geolocation, to compare the price of fuel in the nearest service stations, in order to refuel at the best price.

The prices of the various fuels are updated by the databases collected by the application, but also in real time by its users. With its partners, Essence & CO also offers other services, such as finding car wash stations, or reserving parking spaces.

SOS Autoroute: the geolocated emergency call

This might not be the app you thought of first, but SOS Highway can be particularly useful in an emergency. Developed by the APRR motorway company, but operating on a large part of the French motorway network (APRR, AREA, SANEF, SAPN, ATMB, SFTRF, ADELAC, A’LIENOR, ATLANDES and AXELIA), the SOS Autoroute application is, in some kinds, the mobile version of the famous orange emergency call stations.

This application allows you to make your emergency call directly from your smartphone, no matter where you are on the motorway: your geolocation is then sent directly to the emergency services, in order to allow rapid intervention. No more dangerous wanderings along the highway slide, in order to find one of these famous call points!
