Widely used by the character played by actor Hugh Jackman in the movie Real Steel, this old International Harvester truck is available for sale.
This truck, to say the least, is unknown to Europeans and for good reason, since it is an International Harvester Sightliner, a machine manufactured in the United States in 1960.
This one is quite special because it was used for the shooting of the film Real Steel in 2011. This feature film tells the story of a former boxer played by Hugh Jackman who, with his son, builds a robot participating in combats.
This truck is both their workshop and their rolling home throughout history. Very massive, this International Harvester is now offered for sale by the site Top Classic Cars. However, the price is not communicated. It will then be necessary to contact the auction house directly to get a real idea of the asking price.
Offered as he finished filming, with his interior designand some accessories, it would eventually be a good basis for making a very spacious motorhome.
Modified for the purposes of the film, it has a turbo-diesel engine and brakes modern. Reliable, it was designed to withstand the shock because the production had no other truck at its disposal.
According to some sources, its transformations cost at the time close to 250,000 dollars, or 210,473 €. A substantial sum which is a drop of water compared to the 110 million dollars (92.6 million €) that it cost to achieve this blockbuster.
Already sold for the first time in 2016 on Ebay, it could well be a great deal for backpackers or movie fans!
