Unmissable event for car fans, the Goodwood Festival will be held well this year, from Thursday 8 to Sunday 11 July 2021, still in the region of West Sussex, in the south of England. Among the many rare and exotic sports cars, the Korean manufacturer Kia will be present for the first time at the Festival of Speed, and will come on this occasion with a new model.

A first for Kia at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

Exhibited in the famous “First Glance Paddock”, the Kia Stinger GT420 is an exclusive racing car developed in-house by Kia, which is powered by a 3.3-liter twin-turbo petrol V6 engine, optimized to deliver an output of 422 horsepower for 560 Nm of torque, or by way of comparison, 56 horsepower and 50 Nm more compared to a production Kia Stinger GT (366 horsepower and 510 Nm).

It will also be on display on the Goodwood track, the opportunity to prove its optimized agility thanks to specific equipment and suspension settings, as well as optimized Brembo brakes. Kia also announces a “substantial reduction in weight” of this supercharged Kia Stinger GT, without revealing more information.

The Korean manufacturer will also take the opportunity to present to the British public its new Kia EV6 within the exhibition “Electric Avenue – The Road to 2030”. Recently unveiled, the EV6 is the brand’s first 100% electric model based on the E-GMP modular platform, which offers up to 510 km of range thanks to its 77.4 kWh battery pack. The most powerful version of 584 horsepower, dubbed the Kia EV6 GT, should offer remarkable performance, with a 0 to 100 km / h swallowed in 3.5 seconds.
