Renault has unveiled the first image of a future 100% electric SUV. A compact SUV that could arrive in 2023 and take over the Scénic name!
By unveiling its new electrification strategy on June 30, the Renault group announced the arrival of numerous 100% electric new products in the months and years to come. The firm wants to launch 10 new zero-emission vehicles by 2025, including seven just for the diamond brand
The company has in particular promised to revive the Renault 4L and of develop the Alpine range with three new models (an SUV, a city car and a coupe).
Technical cousin of the future Nissan Ariya
Discreetly, the group also formalized the project of a new zero-emission SUV. A compact SUV that will be flocked with the Renault logo.
Unveiled by a first teaser image, in profile and in semi-darkness, this vehicle will rest on the plateforme CMF-EV, as the future meganE (or Megane E-Tech Electric). It will actually be the cousin technique du Nissan Ariya which will arrive in early 2022 and a direct competitor for the Volkswagen ID.4.
The new Scénic?
He could thus measure between 4.50 m and 4.60 m long and should propose an all-electric range of up to 580 km. Expected in 2023, he could then take back the name of … Scénic since the latter will soon cease to exist in its current form of minivan.
