Klein Vision’s flying car, dubbed AirCar, successfully completed its first flight between Nitra and Bratislava, Slovakia.
Klein Vision has been working for twenty years on the AirCar, which has already made more than 140 flights. But this is the first time that the Slovak flying car has linked two cities: its inventor Stefan Klein indeed flew for 35 minutes between the airports of Nitra and Bratislava, in Slovakia, at an altitude of 2,500 meters and a speed of 185 km / h.
Once the landing has been made, this flying car is then capable of stowing its wings, in order to transform in a few minutes into a car capable of circulating on the road. A feat worthy of a science fiction film, which has become a reality.
Technically, the AirCar is equipped with a 160 horsepower BMW engine, weighing 1,100 kilograms. If it offers only two places for the moment, the AirCar should be available in the future in versions three and four places, with a more powerful engine of 300 horsepower, and a flight range of 1,000 km.
But Stefan Klein obviously does not intend to stop there, and also plans to allow the AirCar to go on the water! It would thus be the first vehicle in the world capable of driving, flying and navigating at the same time.
