Vietnamese manufacturer VinFast is today inaugurating its French subsidiary, based in Paris. The first models will be marketed in spring 2022.
On July 12, 2021, VinFast took its first steps as an international manufacturer of electric cars, by officially commissioning its European and North American subsidiaries. France is part, along with the United States, Canada, the Netherlands and Germany, of the top five key markets in VinFast’s international expansion strategy, which already plans to expand to other countries in the future.
To form its teams, VinFast announces that it has hired automotive experts and salespeople from the main car manufacturers, such as Tesla, BMW, Porsche, Toyota and even Nissan. Its strategic partners are big names in the automotive and technological industry, such as Pininfarina, ZF, Dürr, Bosch, ABB, Faurecia, Dassault, and even Google.
In Europe, the models marketed by VinFast will be designed with the ambition of developing a range of high-end products, integrating modern technologies and meeting the daily travel needs of customers in each country, at a reasonable budget.
His first two models, baptized VinFast VF e35 and VinFast VF e36, are electric SUVs that will be launched in March 2022. They will meet current European standards and aim for the best results in Euro NCAP crash tests, with numerous safety and driver assistance features, as well as an intelligent infotainment system.
To find out more, VinFast is already giving us an appointment in October 2021, on the occasion of an event called VinFast EV Day 2021, which will present the future 100% electric models of the Vietnamese firm.
