a supercar inspired by the Paris-Dakar

Marc Philipp Gemballa lifts the veil on the Marsien, a supercar based on the Porsche 911 Turbo S and inspired by the models entered in the Paris-Dakar in the 1980s.

Hitherto known as « Project Sandbox », the Marsien just unveiled by Marc Philipp Gemballa, who is none other than the son of Uwe Gemballa. Starting from the base of a Porsche 911 Turbo S (Type 992), no less than two years of work were necessary for the teams of Marc Philipp Gemballa GmbH to produce this homologated supercar for the road, with off-road skills. .

The Marsien is inspired by the style of the Porsche of the Paris-Dakar of the 1980s: it is equipped with a body while carbon fiber, and its rear section has similarities to the Paris-Dakar Porsche 959, with a large spoiler and air extractors on either side of the shield.

Gemballa Marsien: a twin-turbo Flat 6 up to 830 hp

For the Marsien engine, Marc Philipp Gemballa called on the expertise of RUF Automobile: there is a 3.7-liter twin-turbo six-cylinder borrowed from the Porsche 911 Turbo S, whose power was reach to 750 horsepower and 930 Nm of torque. A more powerful version inflated to 830 horsepower

will also be offered, allowing to swallow the 0 to 100 km / h in 2.6 seconds only.

The set is completed by an air filter supplied by the Italian specialist BMC, a titanium exhaust line from Akrapovic, or a bespoke suspension completed by off-road KW Automotive shocks. The Marsien’s ride height is adjustable, allowing ground clearance to be increased to 250mm at the touch of a button.

The resolutely sporty interior is dressed in Alcantara and embellished with yellow stitching, and there are carbon fiber door sills, fabric door handles, not to mention bucket seats with racing harnesses. The high center console is inspired by the Porsche Carrera GT.

Only 40 copies of Marsien by Marc Philipp Gemballa will be produced, at a unit price of 495.000 euros excluding taxes, to which you will have to add the price of the Porsche 911 (Type 992) Turbo S which will serve as the basis for this transformation.
