Who will win the Car of the Year 2022 title? The competition has already started, with French women in a good position!
Every year, during the Geneva Motor Show (or equivalent in its absence), the European media elect the Car of the Year. The competition was won by the Toyota Yaris in 2021 and the Peugeot 208 in 2020. The competition is slowly preparing for the 2022 edition: the organization has stopped a list of 65 cars entered in the competition.
A very ambitious list since some are not not yet presented : this is the case of the Nissan 400Z, the Maserati Grecale, the Toyota bZ, or even the famous Ferrari Purosangue. But the organization says this list is “fluid”, and that it is therefore led to change.
In any case, we will have to wait December 29, 2021, date on which the seven finalists will be announced. The winning car will be presented on February 16, 2022.
On the other hand, we can already shoot some favorites from this long list. These include the Dacia Spring, the Citroën C5 X, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, the Nissan Ariya, the new Peugeot 308 and Opel Astra, as well as the future electric Renault Mégane. French women who are therefore rather well placed!
The electric could also do well. There are in this list of 65 cars no less thanaround twenty 100% electric models
, plus all those who offer electric versions alongside thermals.Read also :
