Dacia’s specialty is low-cost. And the manufacturer has carved out its niche in the field: in our ranking of the cheapest cars on the market, we find two Dacia ! Among them, the only SUV in our ranking, the Duster.

Recently (slightly) restyled, the latter remains a sales star in France. All thanks to a canon call price: € 14,490 ! So what equipment can you count on at this price? What look will this Dacia Duster totally stripped ? We made the configuration for you!

LPG upon entry!

Let’s start with the engine. No choice, to reach the minimum price you have to go through the Eco-G 100, in manual gearbox and two-wheel drive. But if it does not reach the consumption of diesel, this engine which also equips the Renault Clio, has another advantage. Indeed, it can run on LPG ! What to achieve great savings at the pump.

Outside of this entry-level Dacia Duster, no fuss, and no choice. In this Essential finish, you must drive with the sheet metal rims, without hubcaps. On the painting side, ditto: only the Glacier White is available as standard. Count an additional 500 € to choose one of the six optional paints (blue, red, orange, gray, anthracite, and black). However, good news: the low-cost Duster keeps its LED daytime running lights. We even find a old-school backpacker side which has its charm! Fog lights are available as an option at 150 €.

The radio, but not the air conditioning!

Equipment level, it’s the same spirit. No air conditioner (option at 900 €), no cruise control (but a limiter), no central armrest (option at 208.74 €), and no GPS or rear view camera. On the other hand, we still find a car radio DAB, Bluetooth compatible, USB and jack cable, a tire pressure, adjustable steering wheel and electric windows. Side driving aids, this Duster comes with ESC, ABS and ASR, hill start, and a emergency braking assistance.

The upholstery is of course in simple fabric, and the steering wheel is made of hard plastic. A more opulent steering wheel is available in the comfort pack for 200 €.

In short, how is this Duster without options? Good surprise, it remains coherent and widely usable on a daily basis. The only big absence that we could blame him for is the air conditioner. For the rest, the sheet metal rims play the backpacker look SUV, the lack of a central screen is not really a handicap when everyone is using their smartphone, and the fabric upholstery is perfectly suited to everyday life.

And if you want to equip yourself a little more, good news: the options are still very accessible.
