A 2006 Ford GT is up for auction after a front impact. It has only driven 1000 km and is entitled to a superb Gulf livery.
The Ford GT is a supercar released in 2006 and taking the line of the legendary GT40 who has won the legendary 24 hour race at Le Mans many times.
Currently stored in New York, this Ford GT is auctioned by the Copart company. The descriptive sheet indicates that it has only traveled 1,149 km! However, the photos available show the aftereffects of a front impact.
The damage does not seem too great but it still lacks the entire front bumper. In addition, the supercar seems to be resting on these rear wheels, which could be the sign a faulty suspension. This problem should still be repairable, the announcement specifying that the Ford GT is functional and rolling. The interior, however, does not appear to have been damaged.
With an estimated value of over € 500,000, € 167,000 auction close looks like a great deal. The cost of repairs should, a priori, not reach more than 330,000 €.
The Ford GT shown here features a superb Gulf orange and blue livery. The Ford GT was entitled to a Heritage limited series, the main specificity of which was to be covered with this iconic paint. However, it seems that this copy was coated with Gulf colors later. The Heritage series featuring white circles and race numbers on the doors as well as silver brake calipers. Elements absent from the model presented.
In the rear central position is a Atmospheric 5.4 V8 developing 550 hp. If the numbers don’t impress that much today, the typical American noise to give you goosebumps to all lovers of beautiful mechanics.
