The German firm unveils a new image of its future Mercedes Vision EQXX electric concept car, which is already announced with 1,000 km of autonomy.
Last year, Mercedes had already published a first photo-teaser of its future prototype Mercedes Vision EQXX, which should be unveiled in early 2022. At a recent conference, during which the firm presented its electrification strategy for the next decade, a new image of the concept car was unveiled .
We discover the front of the model, still hidden in the half-light, which suggests the presence ofLED optics connected by a luminous border: a characteristic that can already be found on the brand’s electric models, such as the recent Mercedes EQS.
The lines also seem curved and slender, and there are two scoops on the hood, no doubt optimized for aerodynamics, engineers from the brand’s Formula 1 team working on this project.
The German manufacturer has already announced a autonomy the 1,000 km with a single charge, and Ola Källenius, the boss of Daimler, also clarified that the Vision EQXX concept will be equipped with a compact battery that will equip a standard Mercedes model, and that its electricity consumption will be less than 10 kWh / 100 km.
As with the brand’s other concept cars, the Mercedes Vision EQXX should not be marketed as is, but will announce the stylistic and strategic directions of the group, while its technologies will be found in future production models of Mercedes EQ. To this end, three new electric platforms are currently under development at Mercedes.
