Brabus presents the Smart EQ Fortwo Racing Green Edition (2021)

The German tuner Brabus is enriching its catalog with a new special version of the Smart EQ Fortwo, called Racing Green Edition and limited to 63 copies.

If the German preparer Brabus is renowned for its achievements on the basis of various and varied Mercedes-Benz models, it also offers customization solutions for models of the Smart brand in its catalog.

The latest is baptized Brabus Smart EQ Fortwo Racing Green Edition, and is based on the 100% electric version of the micro-city car Smart EQ Fortwo, in its coupé silhouette: it is distinguished by a “Racing Green” metallic paint, and has in particular Brabus Monoblock XI alloy wheels specific 16 inches, combining black with gray.

The most important changes are in the interior: the seats have been fitted with add Nappa Cognac, which can also be found on the steering wheel, dashboard and door panels, while several other specific elements signed Brabus enrich the cabin: an aluminum pedals, a new hand brake lever, aluminum door sills, a gear lever, as well as some carbon fiber inserts on the dashboard. The model also incorporates the infotainment system of the other Smart Fortwo models, equipped with an 8.0-inch touch screen and compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

If the modifications are mainly aesthetic, Brabus has not touched the engine of the car. There is a 82 horsepower electric motor driving the rear wheels, allowing the city car to go from 0 to 100 km / h in 11.6 seconds, for a maximum speed limited to 130 km / h. The modest 17.6 kWh battery allows the Smart EQ Fortwo to run up to 135 km with a single charge.

The new Brabus Smart EQ Fortwo Racing Green Edition will be marketed in France, 63-piece limited series and at a posted price from 27.950 €. At the future Munich auto show, Smart will renew itself with the presentation of a 100% electric SUV concept car, the production version of which is expected in 2023.
