Mercedes unveils a first image of its new utility derived from the Renault Kangoo: the second-generation Citan, which will also be available in an electric version
As for the previous generation, the new Renault Kangoo will soon be available at Mercedes-Benz, with the second generation of the Mercedes citan, a utility vehicle that will also be offered in a ludospace version, with the most upscale Mercedes Class T, without forgetting the version Citan Tourer intended for passenger transport. The German firm has just unveiled a first photo announcing the model, which will be launched by the end of the year.
Although the model is still plunged into darkness, one can easily guess the profile lines of the Kangoo, while the front end will be specific to Mercedes, with the usual front grille with three horizontal bars produced by the German brand, topped with a large Mercedes emblem. The headlights are tapered, and have a double light signature.
Mercedes is already announcing many on-board technologies and driver assistance systems: seven standard airbags, ABS, ESP, hill start aid, side wind aid, lane keeping assistant, active braking assistant, blind spot assistant or limitation of speed. the MBUX connected multimedia system (Mercedes-Benz User Experience), with its famous “Hey Mercedes” voice command, will also be there.
The new Mercedes Citan will be available in combustion engines, as well as with a fully electric version called eCitan. It will have its world premiere on 25 August 2021, before being marketed to the mid-September 2021.
