Enjoying a trackday and the wind in your hair is the goal for this McLaren 765LT Spider!
After the “classic” 765LT unveiled last year, McLaren has just presented the version Spider ! As the name suggests, this is the version discoverable of the supercar of 765 ch. What much better to take advantage of four tailpipes spectacular!
Like its coupe counterpart, the 765LT Spider benefits from many improvements over the base McLaren 720S. We especially remember the 80 kg lost compared to the 720S Spider, either only 49 kg more than the 765LT Coupe. This is all made possible thanks to the adoption of a carbon hardtop, and by the fact that the carbon shell to which McLaren has accustomed us does not require additional reinforcements when we remove the roof.
The aero was also largely reworked compared to the 720S Spider, but remains broadly similar to the work done for the 765LT Coupe. The only major difference is a specific adjustment of the rear spoiler
, to take into account the opening (or not) of the roof. With its reduced weight and power increased to 765 hp, the performances are logically astounding. McLaren announces a 0 to 100 km / h shot in 2.8s. And to go from 0 to 200 km / h? 7.2 seconds is enough! That’s less time than a classic family sedan takes to climb to 100 km / h…
Obviously, the price is up to the machine. Count 372 500 €, excluding options and ecological penalty. But hurry, there will only be 765 copies, and all those that will be produced in 2021 have already been reserved.
