Cybertruck fans will have to wait a bit longer: the definitive version will probably not be released this year.
It’s a bit of a Tesla habit. Namely: falling behind on car exits. And the future Tesla Cybertruck will be no exception to the rule! The production of electric pick-up, just like that of the Semi-truck, will be postponed to 2022. Tesla prefers to boost production of the Model Y compact SUV, which has not yet started in Europe.
The manufacturer of Elon Musk had to make a choice, in front of the semiconductor shortage. It is therefore logical to prefer the Model Y, which should become the best-selling Tesla with the Model 3. The delays of the German Gigafactory also did not help to accelerate production of the electric SUV.
The Tesla Cybertruck surprised, even shocked, when it was presented in 2019. Its very futuristic angular lines, the pellet of its armored glass ultimately not so resistant, and the impressive technical figures had caused much ink to flow at the time. Tesla has still not presented any definitive version utility. Lars Moravy, in charge of engineering at Tesla, says the technical part has just been stopped. It will take several elements of the Model Y, which further complicates the simultaneous production of the two models.
In short, for fans of the electric pickup with an extraterrestrial look, we will have to wait a little longer!
